The Northern Housing Consortium is an established and successful membership organisation, created in 1974. As a member of NHC, you not only become part of an inclusive, independent body with unparalleled opportunities for networking and sharing best practice with your industry peers, but will also benefit from access to a comprehensive portfolio of high quality products and services. These solutions are covered under the three key sections within this site: Partnership; Events, and Policy & Practice.
Categories of Membership
We offer various types of membership to suit the needs of your organisations and they generally fall into the four following categories
Full Members
Members in this category are within the defined Northern region and have full voting rights and the opportunity to be part of our Board of Directors.

- Registered Social Landlords
- Local Housing Companies
- Arms Length Management Organisations
Affiliate Members
Organisations that wish to access NHC services outside the defined Northern region.

Subscriber Members
Organisations that support the work of the NHC and that have an interest in the social housing market place.
Partner Members
Exclusively available to organisations that Consortium Procurement have appointed through a procurement process.
Temporary Members
Other organisations that subscribe to a particular Consortium service for a defined period in time, may in addition access the services outlined above for the same given period.
