Northern Silver Screen II

Following the success of Northern Silver Screen I, the Consortium decided to run the initiative again, however this year (2009) we focused the range of short films upon age friendly communities and age inclusive communities in support of our eagerly awaited project 'Age Friendly Communities in the North: People and Place 2020'.

In order to compile the films we invited Members to submit proposals surrounding; intergenerational initiatives, innovative approaches to tackling the ageing challenge and building strong links with health and social care. We then selected the winners and assisted with the filming, funding and/or editing of the submissions.

The winners of Northern Silver Screen II were shown at the Age Friendly Communities in the North: People and Place 2020 event, 26^th January, York Racecourse.

	Their Past, Your Future
	An Advantage for Everyone
	Intergenerational Creative Writing Project, 'down our street'
	Green Living Project, 'keeping older people active'
	Rookie Golf Bowls for All Telecare 'extreme temperature sensors' project
