Consortium Procurement Panel Wednesday 15th September 2010 Royal York Hotel, York |
![]() |
Collectively we delivered £15.3 million of efficiency savings last year, this is excellent but we know we are going to need to do more.
Our sector is going to face further cost pressures as a result of the Government's impending Comprehensive Spending Review, the uncertainty of housing benefit schemes as well as greater scrutiny from increased tenant involvement in your purchasing decision making, so what can Consortium Procurement do to meet these challenges and assist you in maximising the benefits of your membership?
Consortium Procurement are continuing to develop frameworks which meet the demand of the membership. In order to find out more about what our Members want from us, Consortium Procurement would like to invite you to participate in its Procurement Panel on 15th September 2010 at Royal York Hotel.
Our current frameworks have been developed in response to what Members have told us they want, and with direct input from them in to the specification design and selection process, and as such we have been able to deliver excellent results for those Members accessing them. An example of this is the gas servicing and maintenance framework we offer, which is not only delivering over £100,000 of savings per annum per Member but is also compliant with the Audit Commission's requirements and is safeguarding tenants. Adaptations is another successful framework, where Members are saving on average £41,000 per annum whilst delivering high quality, fit for purpose solutions to tenants.
The aim of the day will be to explore how we can further collaborate to reduce costs but continue to deliver more to tenants. In preparation for the event we should be asking ourselves:
- What pressures are we facing in procurement?
- What are our key procurement priorities?
- Where is there overlap and therefore opportunity to improve efficiencies?
This is not just another round the table discussion, the outcomes of the day will shape our collaborative procurement activity for the next 12 to 18 months.
