Northern Housing Consortium launched 'A guide to age friendly communities in the North: People and places 2020' yesterday at a self titled event.
The Northern Housing Consortium has conducted ground-breaking research amongst our Membership to explore, understand and respond to the needs of older people in our communities, and to map out the steps the housing sector needs to take to create 'age friendly' homes, neighbourhoods and services which will meet the needs of future generations.
Coming to the end of a 2 year multi-disciplinary project to build a holistic picture of what an 'Age Friendly Community in the North' might look like in the year 2020 and beyond, the publication is a compliation of our project findings. Building on our earlier reports, it sets out to simulate debate, create opportunities for innovation thinking and hopefully act as a useful guidebook to challenge ourselves and the way we work.
One hard copy of this report shall be sent to each Full Member of the Northern Housing Consortium. A copy of this report is also available for Members to download below.
