Tyne & Wear Strategic Housing Partnership

Remit of group

The Tyne and Wear Strategic Housing Partnership is a strategic body of the five local authorities working in the Tyne and Wear sub-region. The strategic aims of the partnership are to:-

• Drive forward the TWSHP
• Engage with decision makers and influencers at regional and national levels
• Carry out a Housing Market Assessment of the Tyne and Wear sub region
• Develop and implement a fit for purpose sub regional housing strategy
• Create a policy framework to deliver success
• Advance capital funding bids and create the delivery framework for increased investment in the sub region.

Sub Regional Housing Strategy

The full draft Tyne and Wear sub-regional housing strategy will be available on this website shortly along with a consultaion summary.  The final strategy will be submitted to the NEHB in July 2007.
