Northumberland Sub-regional Working Party
Remit of group
This group is intended to promote and assist the increasing need for authorities to work strategically on a sub-regional level. A key role for the group is for members to take responsibility of sub-regional challenges and develop cross boundary solutions that benefit the sub-region as a whole. The group at present meets every quarter and feeds into the wider structures present in Northumberland.
Membership of the group is restricted to district authorities operating in Northumberland, but attendance is open to the relevant statutory bodies in the North East as agreed with the Northern Housing Consortium.
Sub-Regional Strategy
On 1st August 2007 Northumberland's Sub-Regional Housing Strategy was submitted to Regional Housing Board. This will enable the North East Assembly to commission work in the sub-region based on evidence included in the strategy. The strategy can be downloaded here.
