The proposed new standards for social housing providers are the centrepiece of the TSA’s new regulatory framework; within this the TSA and the Audit Commission have embarked on a fundamental review of the approach to inspections to join up with the standards. This, alongside the need to develop local standards that reflect the priorities of local communities, present new challenges and opportunities for the housing sector.
