Based on our experience in providing procurement support and acting as a first point of call for our members, we know that ensuring their housing stock is properly inspected, maintained and repaired if necessary is vitally important.
We require a high standard of competency from our suppliers which we test through our rigorous tender process. This ensures our suppliers are of the highest quality with the required qualifications and knowledge of their particular area of expertise.
From Asset Management, to Tenancy Sustainability, to Independent Living, we offer trusted and tested procurement solutions through our wide range of framework agreements. The repairs and maintenance element of procurement is fully covered through four of frameworks:
- Asbestos Management Services – our members have a duty to identify the location and condition of this lethal material to prevent unnecessary disturbance or damage
- Heating Systems – housing providers are required by law (Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998) to make sure gas appliances are well maintained to keep tenants safe
- Legionella & Water Treatment – our members are required to ensure their water systems are properly serviced, cleaned and maintained in line with The Legionella Control Association (LCA) Codes of Conduct
- Passenger Lifts – those of our members who own or manage properties with lifting equipment are required to ensure they are properly maintained and safely installed in line with Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER)
