The North East Child Poverty Network meets quarterly across the region, and provides the opportunity for NHC members to come together to discuss latest policy updates around poverty and social exclusion, hear from professionals across the field, both from within and outside the sector and share learning on what the sector are doing to mitigate the impact of poverty across their communities.

The next North East Child Poverty Network meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday 4th June from 10.30-12.30pm, at Gentoo offices, Emperor House, 2 Emperor Way, Sunderland, Doxford International Business Park, SR3 3XR, there is parking available on site through the barriers.

10.45am               DWP Update – Steve McCuskin, Group Partnership Manager, Hexham Jobcentre

11.05am               Social Rights Alliance update and plans for the region – Anya Bonner, Justfair

11.30am               Hartlepool Food Network and Food Poverty Update – Penny Thompson, Head of Service,    Children’s Hub and Partnerships, Hartlepool Council/ALL

12pm                     General Discussion – ALL

12.25pm               Themes for next meeting
