Summer Budget 2015: On-the-day briefing released

8 July 2015

Today saw Chancellor George Osbourne announce the first Conservative Budget in 19 years in the House of Commons.

A full transcript of the Chancellor’s speech is on the Treasury website now, and we have prepared our usual on-the-day briefing here which outlines how the Budget affects five key areas: housing, welfare, the economy, work and skills, and health and social care.

UPDATE: Following the release of the government’s productivity plan – titled Fixing the Foundations – we’ve analysed that too and prepared a further briefing.

Below are three infographics published by @HMTreasury outlining some of the key announcements. Click on any image to view it at full size.
