The Northern Housing Consortium is committed to assisting its members to maximise efficiencies and to ensure that the tenants of social housing and the taxpayer get the best value for money.
 
Efficient operation is paramount in all organisations to achieve full potential. This is particularly the case in the current economic situation, which is likely to continue for the foreseeable future. 
 
The NHC is in a unique position to help Local Authorities, Social Landlords, ALMOs and all organisations involved in housing to achieve real efficiencies and to realise the benefits.

We can help you to look at any service in a critical and challenging way, keeping staff involved and ensuring that any review is done with you, not to you.
 

Systems Thinking                                                                                                    
For organisations looking to adopt a Systems Thinking methodology, NHC is licensed to use Vanguard method Systems Thinking.
 

 
 
 
 
For those involved with contact centres and customer service, we have a dedicated network, CONTACTnet. This group has a steadily growing membership which shares good practice and carries out benchmarking on contact centre performance every quarter.
 

 
 
 
Building on contact centres, we believe that what customers say to you over the telephone or face to face can tell you a lot about how well your organisation is working, and what your customers really want from you. We offer a short review, which uses customer contact as its basis, to help you understand what customers want.
 


Members can search for assistance on a wide range of areas. Here, suppliers advertise their goods and services, and you can find guidance, policy information and events from the NHC via the search function.

Research and Intelligence Services Research and Intelligence services, which sits within the Policy and Public Affairs department of the Northern Housing Consortium, works on a range of both commissioned and non-commissioned research projects.
