Ward Hadaway Legal Seminar: Safeguarding in the Housing Sector

The Northern Housing Consortium, in conjunction with Ward Hadaway, is delighted to offer the Safeguarding in the Housing Sector event taking place between 1pm and 4pm on Wednesday 28 March 2018 at the offices of Ward Hadaway, Leeds.

Safeguarding is becoming an increasingly important issue in housing management.

Vulnerable tenants, including children, the elderly, and people with disabilities can provide unique challenges, and it is essential that staff are trained to deal with the practical and legal implications of dealing effectively with particular challenges facing the individual, the organisation, and the community. This seminar will feature up to date legal perspectives on safeguarding as well as housing-led examples of safeguarding in action with speakers from The Gateshead Housing Company.

This seminar will consider safeguarding, the Equality Act and the Mental Capacity Act.
