Data Quality and Value from Benchmarking

The use of benchmarking services with other providers is a well-established feature of performance management and regulatory engagement. The question many organisations are asking themselves is:

“How do make sure that the benchmarking we undertake is adding value to our tenants and the services we deliver?”

NHC is keen to assist in ensuring that benchmarking exercises are

• timely
• accurate
• providing true comparison
• allowing comparisons that are bespoke to your organisation

We are working with QA Housing Consultancy to provide a service that is all of the above, and competitively priced to ensure value for money.

Efficiency team study into void costs as a result of welfare reform changes

The Northern Housing Consortium is trying to get some idea of void costs as a side effect of welfare reform changes, which have impacted re-let times.

Our efficiency team are interested in costs and re-let times for 2013/14 and 2014/15 to date, specifically:

  • Average cost of voids (routine)
  • Average cost of major voids
  • Whether this includes any decoration and, if known, average cost of decoration
  • Average re-let time (routine)
  • Average re-let time (major)

We would be obliged if members could return the information to If you have any queries, please contact Nigel on 07843356445. All results with be anonymised and we are happy to share the results of the exercise with all contributors.
