As part of our work exploring off-site manufacturing, the NHC will be hosting a site visit to Urban Splash’s Smith’s Dock development in North Tyneside on Thursday 22 June. Times and other arrangements will be confirmed soon.
The purpose of the visit is to gain a deeper understanding of modular housing from a sector leader, visit the end product and see how modular design works in action. Members of the Urban Splash development team will be on hand to answer questions from attendees. This visit will be ideal for representatives from organisations considering modular development.
It is hoped that the visit will act as a companion to a future site visit to a modular factory so that participants can see the varying stages of modular development in person.
