Join us for our regulation and value for money conference.

altair_logoWorking in partnership with Altair Ltd, Northern Housing Consortium brings you our first event in a series aimed at improving providers’ ability to respond to regulatory requirements and understand approaches to value for money self assessment across the sector. This conference focuses on the key issues in regulation and value for money, examining the right to buy extension, efficiency in delivery models and insights into the Homes and Communities Agency’s in-depth assessment process.

The HCA has expressed serious concerns that a number of providers have failed to demonstrate their ability to be efficient, effective and economic. We now face challenges around the proposed extension to right to buy. There is little doubt that we are working hard to provide tenants and stakeholders with value for money, and to secure a safe and viable place for people to live in the years to come.

Our examination into value for money and regulation will provide you with key messages from the regulator’s Chairman Robert Napier CBE, and vital insight into how our members are responding to this challenge. You will also get to hear from Charlie Norman, Chief Executive of St Vincent’s Housing Association, who were one of the organisations to take part in the HCA’s in-depth assessment trial. By attending the event you will hear new approaches which will help to revolutionise and strengthen your approach to regulation, and to achieving and demonstrating value for money in your organisation.

The event will be chaired by Steve Douglas, a partner at Altair Ltd, who has has already written about how the debates we will have over the coming year are likely to be the most thought provoking for a generation.

Speakers include:

  • Robert Napier CBE, Chairman, Homes and Communities Agency
