The second meeting of the Leasehold Working Group will take place on Tuesday 20 June 2017 at the offices of Ward Hadaway in Leeds from 1pm until 3pm.
After the initial meeting of the working group in March, it was clear that there are many challenges faced by registered providers with regards to leasehold. As the Government push ahead with their housing policies that incentivise and promote Shared Ownership, issues around leasehold will become more and more of an issue for registered providers.
The Leasehold Working Group is a forum for members working in the field to discuss issues arising in their work; share best practice and network with colleagues as well as establish dialogue on forthcoming issues.
The second meeting of the working group will examine, among other things:
- charges made by associations for both management and additional administration charges
- management of communal areas
- Shared Ownership
The working group is very much best practice-focused and it is directed by attendees. Any attendees with items they would like to put on the agenda should email Callum Smith, Member Engagement Manager at email@example.com with any suggestions.
